Meal(s):Day 7
Indian Pacific Rail Journey - Nullarbor Plain
Today is all about those amazing outback views as you cross this famous stretch of the Australian interior, the Nullarbor Plain, on the longest stretch of straight railway track in the world. En route, the Indian Pacific calls in to Cook, once-bustling, now almost-ghost town that was originally built as a support town for the railway.
Travelling further west, the next stop is at Rawlinna on the fringe of Australia's largest sheep station for a dinner under a thousand stars. You'll arrive at sunset, where the quiet outpost of Rawlinna comes to life with an al fresco long table set up and a seat calling your name (Mar-Oct). During the winter months, guests will be invited to disembark to partake in drinks and canapes served around a bonfire under the evening sky.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Meal(s):Day 8
Perth
Admire the delightful undulations of the Avon Valley and enjoy a final brunch on board as the last stretch of your transcontinental crossing unfolds. Upon a rrival in Perth, take the opportunity to say goodbye to your fellow travellers and the crew. You've just crossed 4,352 kilometres together on the Indian Pacific.
From the station, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in the heart of Perth, a short walk to local shops and dining outlets in the city. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Meal(s):Day 9
Pinnacles Sunset Stargazing
Today, you’ll join the Pinnacles Day Tour, exploring some of the West Coast’s most stunning natural regions. Enjoy a star-studded adventure of twinkling twilight and wildlife in the native wonderland of the Pinnacles. Leave behind city life for a one-day treat to some of Western Australia’s best natural wonders.
After driving 1.5 hours from Perth, your first stop is to stretch your legs and take in the views from the seaside town of Lancelin, home to the largest network of sand dunes in Western Australia. These gigantic snow-white dunes are a stark contrast to the glistening turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean in the distance. Shake the sand out of your shoes before you travel on to the Nilgen Nature Reserve. In a region abundant with flora and fauna, you’ll wander through a kaleidoscope of wildflowers, including banksias, bottlebrush, heath and grass trees. If the flowers are not in season, you’ll head over to Hangover Bay instead, where you can dip your toes in the crystal-clear waters or spot bottlenose dolphins and sea lions.
With your lungs full of fresh sea air, it’s time to journey on to the Nambung National Park to witness the remarkable Pinnacles Desert at sunset. Made up of shells, the Pinnacles date back millions of years to a time when the land was beneath the sea. Best explored at dusk when the crowds evaporate and the thousands of limestone pillars rise eerily out of the desert, you’ll watch the colours change over the rocks, creating a lunar-like atmosphere.
Enjoy a Picnic dinner accompanied by a glass of locally produced sparkling, while you settle in for a spectacular light show. As the darkness sets, it’s time to marvel at the otherworldly beauty of the stars and planets, swirling high above.
